If you do much baking at all, you probably use quite a bit of vanilla extract.  And, if you’re like most of us, you can’t afford the real stuff, so you use that imitation kind.  It’s ok, but the real stuff is soooo much better!  And it’s also soooo expensive.  LOL

The thing is, it’s super easy to make.  Laura over at Heavenly Homemakers has a post telling us how to make it, and also where she likes to get her vanilla beans and other items she uses to make/store it.  It’s pretty much the vanilla beans and vodka, but I don’t want to copy her “recipe”, so just head on over to her site and view the whole post.  She has pictures, and everything!  LOL  There are even downloadable recipe cards!
